Reflections on the Crucible

I found the Crucible to be annoying to read on the surface. Everything was going wrong from beginning to end I never really had an idea of what was going to happen. On the surface the antagonist gets away, and the protagonist is hanged. More people are hanged for no true reason and the whole logic is flipped upside down. I''m a very logical guy so if I agree with something being reasonable then it is what I believe is right, so when people are being hanged for and assumption that these girls might actually be seeing something infuriates me. Only a handful of people were able to pull themselves out and look at everything from a whole to see that what was happening was wrong. It was not real fun to read, because it became seeming apparent that the end was sent in stone and the end consisted of the people who actually were using their brains were hanged. Though when brought into the context of the play all being a metaphor of the McCarthy hearing is very fascinating. It is amazing how someone can use an analogy to show something and prove a point. This kind of also made me mad that the flipped logic can happen in these more modern times. It is almost scary that something that one can't really control can happen just do to logic being flipped.
