Romantic Poem Reflection

Out of all the poems we went over, the one I enjoyed the most was Snowbound. This is because I love the snow. I live by one of the busiest streets in the city and there is always people driving obnoxiously down the road and sometimes shaking my house. When snow comes, there is almost dead silence outside and I love it. I also love the way the poem was able to bring me into the matter. I;m always painting pictures in my mind while reading texts. Though, I usually use pictures I've already observed, but with Snowbound I was able to paint a completely new picture into my mind and slip into the picture. The amount of detail is astounding and I feel like Bryant struck on a subject that kids in the north have a found memory of.
